गौरुडव्यूह-रचना तथा अर्धचन्द्र-प्रत्यव्यूह
Garuḍa Array and the Ardhacandra Counter-Formation
युध्यमानस्य संग्रामे व्यूढे रजसि चोत्थिते
yudhyamānasya saṅgrāme vyūḍhe rajasi cotthite | jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
Sañjaya thưa: “Tâu Đại vương, khi trận chiến đã vào hồi quyết liệt và bụi mù bốc lên thành từng đám dày đặc, cuộc công kích nhằm vào Bhīṣma—bậc nhất trong hàng chiến sĩ, kẻ mà người ta quyết giết—trở thành một cuộc va chạm mênh mông, náo loạn. Trong cơn bão mù ấy, mắt không còn phân biệt; chỉ tiếng dây cung bật vang mới cho biết đối thủ vẫn đang giao chiến, và nhiều người nhận ra địch chỉ bằng cái chạm của thân thể giữa hỗn mang.”
