Garuḍa Array and the Ardhacandra Counter-Formation
धनु: कूजितविज्ञानं तत्रासीत् प्रतियुद्धयत: । गात्रस्पर्शेन योधानां व्यज्ञास्त परिपन्थिनम्
sañjaya uvāca | dhanuḥ-kūjita-vijñānaṃ tatrāsīt pratiyuddhayataḥ | gātra-sparśena yodhānāṃ vyajñāsta paripanthinam jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
Sañjaya thưa: “Tâu Đại vương, trong trận ấy, các chiến binh chỉ còn nhận ra nhau qua tiếng dây cung bật vang, vì cuộc giao tranh quá đỗi rối loạn. Nhiều người chỉ cần chạm vào tay chân kẻ khác là biết đó là địch hay quân mình. Khi họ lao tới nhằm hạ sát Bhīṣma—bậc nhất trong hàng chiến sĩ—cuộc chiến lúc ấy dâng lên thành một cơn náo động mênh mông, cuồng loạn.”
