अभ्यवर्तत गाड़ेय: श्वेतं सेनापतिं द्रुतम् । भरतश्रेष्ठ] आपके पिता गंगानन्दन भीष्मने नरश्रेष्ठ भीमसेन आदि महारथियोंसे घिरे हुए सेनापति श्वेतको देखकर उनपर तुरंत धावा किया
sañjaya uvāca | abhyavartata gāḍeyaḥ śvetaṃ senāpatiṃ drutam |
Sañjaya nói: Rồi Gāḍeya lập tức lao nhanh vào Śveta, vị tổng chỉ huy của đạo quân. Giữa cơn giao chiến, khi thấy người cầm quân đứng giữa các dũng tướng vây quanh, phe đối địch thường tìm cách đánh thẳng vào đầu não chỉ huy để bẻ gãy ý chí quân thù—một hành động thử thách cả dũng khí lẫn sự tự chế trong khuôn phép kṣatriya-dharma.
