उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
वृक्षानुन्मथ्य वान्त्युग्रा वाता: शर्करकर्षिण: । आभग्ना: सुमहावातैरशनीभि: समाहता:
vṛkṣān unmathya vānty ugrā vātāḥ śarkarakarṣiṇaḥ | ābhagnāḥ sumahāvātair aśanībhiḥ samāhatāḥ ||
Vyāsa mô tả những điềm gở: gió dữ nhổ bật cây cối, cuốn theo sỏi đá và bụi cát. Những cơn cuồng phong làm gãy nát muôn vật, như bị sét đánh—dấu hiệu một thế gian rối loạn trước thềm chiến tranh và cơn chấn động của adharma.
