अतिष्ठदाहवे भीष्मो भिद्यमानेषु मर्मसु । वहाँ ऊँची और नीची भूमिका भी कुछ ज्ञान नहीं हो पाता था, दसवें दिनके उस युद्धमें अपने मर्मस्थानोंके विदीर्ण होते रहनेपर भी भीष्मजी दस हजार योद्धाओंको मारकर वहाँ खड़े हुए थे || ७८ ह ।।
Translation
Bhīṣma vẫn đứng vững giữa chiến địa, dù những yếu huyệt trên thân thể bị xé toạc. Trong trận chiến ngày thứ mười ấy, dẫu các marman—những điểm sinh tử—liên tiếp bị phá vỡ, ngài Bhīṣma vẫn giết mười nghìn dũng sĩ và còn đứng sừng sững tại đó. Rồi ở ngay trước mũi quân ấy, Pārtha, bậc cung thủ, đã trấn giữ.
