छन््दतो मृत्युरित्येवं तस्य चास्तु वरस्तथा । धारयिष्ये ततः प्राणानुत्सगें नियते सति
chandato mṛtyur ity evaṃ tasya cāstu varas tathā | dhārayiṣye tataḥ prāṇān utsarge niyate sati ||
Sañjaya nói: “Đã quyết như vậy—‘cái chết chỉ đến vào thời khắc ta chọn’—nguyện cho ân huệ ấy quả thật được giữ vững. Vì thế ta sẽ giữ lại hơi thở sinh mệnh cho đến khi thời điểm định sẵn để buông bỏ nó đến.”
