तानब्रवीच्छान्तनवो नाहं गनन्ता कथंचन । दक्षिणावर्त आदित्ये एतन्मे मनसि स्थितम्
tān abravīc chāntanavo nāhaṁ gantā kathaṁcana | dakṣiṇāvarta āditye etan me manasi sthitam, bhārata |
Sañjaya nói: Bấy giờ con trai của Śāntanu (Bhīṣma), sau khi suy ngẫm, liền nói với họ: “Chừng nào Mặt Trời còn ở trên lộ trình đi về phương Nam (dakṣiṇāyana), ta sẽ không rời khỏi nơi này bằng bất cứ cách nào. Đó là quyết ý đã an định trong lòng ta, hỡi Bhārata.”
