Subhadrā’s Petition to Kṛṣṇa for the Revival of Parīkṣit (अभिमन्युज-प्राणरक्षा-प्रार्थना)
अब्र॒ुवंश्ष महाराज सर्वाः सास्राविलेक्षणा: । स्वस्रीयो वासुदेवस्य मृतो जात इति प्रभो
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Abruvan mahārāja sarvāḥ sāśrāvilekṣaṇāḥ | svasrīyo Vāsudevasya mṛto jāta iti prabho ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Tâu Đại vương, tất cả những người phụ nữ ấy, mắt nhòa lệ, vừa khóc vừa kêu: ‘Ôi than! Đứa con của em gái Vāsudeva đã sinh ra trong cõi chết, thưa chúa thượng!’ Cảnh ấy nêu bật sự mong manh của sinh mệnh ngay cả sau những chiến thắng lớn, và đặt nỗi bi thương như một phản ứng chung của con người, thử thách sự vững lòng và lòng trắc ẩn trong dharma.”
