Adhyāya 42 — Mahābhūta–Indriya–Adhyātma-Vyavasthā
Brahmā’s Instruction on Elements and Faculties
अविशेषाणि चान्यानि कर्मयुक्तानि यानि तु । उभयत्र मनो ज्ञेयं बुद्धिस्तु द्वादशी भवेत्
aviśeṣāṇi cānyāni karmayuktāni yāni tu | ubhayatra mano jñeyaṃ buddhis tu dvādaśī bhavet ||
Vāyu-deva giải thích: “Trong các năng lực ấy còn có những thứ khác nữa, gắn với hành động và vận hành mà về bản tính không có khác biệt cốt yếu. Tâm phải được hiểu là hoạt động trong cả hai miền—nhận biết và hành động—kết nối các căn tri với các cơ quan hành; và trí (buddhi) được kể là thứ mười hai.”
