Rajo-guṇa-nirdeśa — Brahmā’s Enumeration of Rajasic Dispositions

रजोगुणा वो बहुधानुकीर्तिता यथाददुक्तं गुणवृत्तमेव च । नरो5पि यो वेद गुणानिमान्‌ सदा स राजसै: सर्वगुणैरविमुच्यते

Transliteration

rajoguṇā vo bahudhānukīrtitā yathāvad uktaṃ guṇavṛttam eva ca | naro 'pi yo veda guṇān imān sadā sa rājasaiḥ sarvaguṇair avimucyate, munivara ||

Translation

Vāyu nói: “Ta đã trình bày với các ngươi bằng nhiều cách về những phẩm tính sinh từ rajas và lối hành xử phát sinh theo những phẩm tính ấy, đúng như thực tướng của nó. Nhưng người nào hiểu rõ các phẩm tính này và luôn giữ tri kiến ấy hiện tiền, thì—hỡi bậc hiền triết tối thượng—không bị mắc vào toàn bộ mạng lưới các khuynh hướng rajasic; người ấy vẫn tự do khỏi sức trói buộc của chúng.”
