Kuntī–Vyāsa Dialogue on Durvāsā’s Boon and Karṇa’s Birth
धृतराष्ट्रं समुद्दिश्य ददौ स पृथिवीपति: । सुवर्ण रजतं गाश्न शय्याश्व सुमहाधना:
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ samuddiśya dadau sa pṛthivīpatiḥ |
suvarṇa-rajataṃ gāś ca śayyāśvān sumahādhanān ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Xướng danh Dhṛtarāṣṭra, vị chúa tể cõi đất—vua Yudhiṣṭhira—đã ban tặng lễ vật: vàng bạc, bò, giường quý và ngựa, làm bố thí thượng hảo, riêng rẽ để tôn vinh Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Gāndhārī và Kuntī. Hành động ấy nêu rõ chí nguyện theo dharma của nhà vua: chăm lo bậc trưởng thượng và thực hành bố thí, dẫu sau những tàn phá của chiến tranh.
