Vyāsa’s Boon-Offer and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Remorse in the Forest Assembly (आश्रमवासिक पर्व, अध्याय ३६)
यदत्रानन्तरं कार्य तद् भवान् वक्तुमर्हति । इत्युक्त: संजयेनेदं पुनराह स पार्थिव:,“अब इसके बाद क्या करना चाहिये--यह बतानेकी कृपा करें।” संजयके ऐसा कहनेपर राजाने फिर कहा--
yad atrānantaraṃ kāryaṃ tad bhavān vaktum arhati | ity uktaḥ saṃjayenedam punar āha sa pārthivaḥ |
“Vậy tiếp theo nên làm gì trong việc này—xin ngài vui lòng chỉ dạy.” Khi Saṃjaya nói như thế, nhà vua lại đáp lời. Cuộc đối thoại ấy nêu rõ phong thái của dharma: trước khi hành động, phải cầu lời chỉ dẫn đúng đắn, đặt sự cân nhắc và tham vấn lên trên sự bốc đồng.
