अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

यथा स्याद्‌ भविता चाहं कुन्ती चेयं वधूस्तव । “भगवन्‌! आपके प्रसादसे ये महाराज, मैं और आपकी बहू कुन्ती--ये सब-के-सब जैसे भी शोकरहित हो जाय, ऐसी कृपा कीजिये

yathā syād bhavitā cāhaṃ kuntī ceyaṃ vadhūs tava |

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Ước sao đức vua này, chính ta, và Kuntī—nàng dâu của ngài—đều được thoát khỏi sầu khổ. Bạch Đấng Tôn Quý, nhờ ân phúc của ngài, xin ban lòng từ mẫn như thế.”
