छत्रोपानहदानफलप्रशंसा — Praise of the Merit of Donating Umbrella and Footwear
जमदम्नेश्व संवाद सूर्यस्य च महात्मन: । पुरा स भगवान् साक्षाद्धनुषाक्रीडयत् प्रभो
jamadagneś ca saṃvādaḥ sūryasya ca mahātmanaḥ | purā sa bhagavān sākṣād dhanuṣā krīḍayat prabho, ānīya sā tadā tasmai prādād asakṛd acyuta |
Bhīṣma nói: “Tâu chúa công, về việc này người ta kể lại một cuộc đối thoại thời xưa giữa hiền thánh Jamadagni và Thần Mặt Trời đại hồn. Thuở ấy, chính Jamadagni đáng tôn kính đã vui luyện cung—thực hành thuật bắn tên như một phép tu tập có kỷ luật. Khi đó, vợ ngài là Reṇukā thường xuyên nhặt những mũi tên đã bắn đi, mang về trao lại cho ngài.”
