Chatra–Upānah Dāna: Origin Narrative
Jamadagni–Reṇukā–Sūrya Saṃvāda
तदिदं गृह्ुतां विद्वन् पुष्करं द्विजसत्तम | अतिक्रमं मे भगवन क्षन्तुमर्हस्यनिन्दित,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! विद्वन! अब आप अपने ये कमल लीजिये। भगवन्! अनिन्दनीय महर्षे! मेरा अपराध क्षमा कीजिये
tad idaṁ gṛhyatāṁ vidvan puṣkaraṁ dvijasattama | atikramaṁ me bhagavan kṣantum arhasy anindita ||
Agastya nói: “Hỡi bậc học giả, bậc tối thượng trong hàng Bà-la-môn, xin hãy nhận đóa sen này. Bạch tôn giả, hiền thánh không tì vết, xin ngài thứ lỗi cho lỗi lầm của ta.”
