अलोभोपाख्यानम् — शुनःसख-यातुधानी-संवादः

The Allegory of Non-Greed: Śunaḥsakha and the Yātudhānī

ऋषयो धर्मनित्यास्तु कृत्वा निवपनान्युत । तर्पणं चाप्यकुर्वन्त तीर्थाम्भोभिययतव्रता:

ṛṣayo dharmanityāstu kṛtvā nivapanāny uta | tarpaṇaṃ cāpy akurvanta tīrthāmbhobhir yayatavratāḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Các hiền triết, luôn bền chí trong dharma và giữ giới nguyện với sự tiết chế nghiêm cẩn, trước hết dâng các lễ vật tang tế; rồi sau đó, dùng nước thiêng ở các tīrtha (bến nước hành hương) mà làm lễ tarpaṇa—rưới nước để làm thỏa lòng tổ tiên. Nhờ hoàn tất cẩn trọng những nghi lễ phải trả cho người đã khuất, hạnh kiểm chính trực được gìn giữ.”
