Śrāddha-utpatti and Nivāpa–Agni Precedence (श्राद्धोत्पत्तिः—निवापेऽग्निपूर्वकत्वम्)

आधिपत्य॑ व्रजेन्मर्त्यो ज्येष्ठायामपवर्जयन्‌ । नर: कुरुकुलश्रेष्ठ ऋद्धो दमपुर:सर:

ādhipatyaṁ vrajen martyo jyeṣṭhāyām apavarjayan | naraḥ kurukulaśreṣṭha ṛddho damapuraḥsaraḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: Hỡi bậc ưu tú của dòng Kuru, phàm nhân nào vào lúc sao Jyeṣṭhā, trước hết chế ngự các căn rồi dâng piṇḍa theo nghi lễ, sẽ được phú quý và đạt quyền chủ trị.
