Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
सर्वे हि वयमेते च तवैव प्रसव: प्रभो | देवानां ब्राह्मणानां च त्वं हि कर्ता पितामह,'प्रभो! पितामह! ये सब और हमलोग आपहीकी संतान हैं; क्योंकि देवताओं और ब्राह्मणोंकी सृष्टि करनेवाले आप ही हैं
sarve hi vayam ete ca tavaiva prasavaḥ prabho | devānāṃ brāhmaṇānāṃ ca tvaṃ hi kartā pitāmaha ||
Vasiṣṭha nói: “Muôn tâu Chúa tể, muôn tâu Đấng Tổ Phụ của vạn loài! Tất cả chúng con—và cả những vị kia nữa—thật sự đều là con cháu của Ngài. Bởi chính Ngài là Đấng tạo tác, là vị Tổ nguyên sơ của cả chư thiên lẫn các Bà-la-môn.”
