Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
अग्नीषोमात्मकमिदं सुवर्ण विद्धि निश्चये
agnīṣomātmakam idaṃ suvarṇa viddhi niścaye
Bhishma nói: “Hãy biết chắc rằng vàng này mang bản tính của Agni và Soma.” Trong lời dạy ấy, vàng không chỉ là kim loại, mà là một thực thể được đặt nền trên những nguyên lý vũ trụ thiêng liêng, khuyên người nghe nhìn nó bằng lòng tôn kính và sự phân biệt sáng suốt, chứ không bằng lòng tham.
