Transliteration

tan nibodha mahābāho sarvaṃ nigadato mama | suvarṇakā dānaṃ tubhyaṃ uttamaṃ phalaṃ dāsyati; yasmād dānārthe śreṣṭhatamaṃ prakīrtitam | mahābāho! suvarṇakā yad rūpaṃ, yasmāt sambhūtaṃ, yathā ca viśeṣa-guṇakārī, tat sarvaṃ te bravīmi—śṛṇu me |

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: “Hãy hiểu rõ, hỡi bậc dũng mãnh, khi ta thuật lại mọi điều. Bố thí vàng sẽ đem đến cho ngươi quả báo tối thượng, vì nó được tuyên xưng là bậc nhất trong các sự bố thí. Hỡi bậc dũng mãnh, ta sẽ giảng đầy đủ về hình tướng của vàng, nguồn gốc phát sinh của nó, và vì sao nó có công năng đặc biệt—hãy lắng nghe ta.”
