Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
एवमेव गवामुक्तं प्रदानं ते नृगेण ह । ऋषिणा नाचिकेतेन पूर्वमेव निदर्शितम्,इसी तरह राजा नृगने जो गोदान किया था तथा नाचिकेत ऋषिने जो गौओंका दान और पूजन किया था, वह सब आपने पहले ही कहा और निर्देश किया है
evam eva gavām uktaṃ pradānaṃ te nṛgeṇa ha | ṛṣiṇā nāciketena pūrvam eva nidarśitam ||
Yudhiṣṭhira thưa: “Cũng vậy, câu chuyện người kể về việc bố thí bò—rằng vua Nṛga xưa kia từng làm lễ hiến tặng ấy—và tiền lệ do hiền triết Nāciketa nêu ra từ trước, người đã giảng giải và minh chứng rồi.”
