Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)
पराभूतेषु दैत्येषु शक्रस्त्रिभुवने श्वर: । प्रजा: समुदिता: सर्वा: सत्यधर्मपरायणा:
parābhūteṣu daityeṣu śakras tribhuvaneśvaraḥ | prajāḥ samuditāḥ sarvāḥ satyadharmaparāyaṇāḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Thuở xưa, khi các Dānava bị chư thiên đánh bại và Śakra (Indra) trở thành chúa tể của ba cõi, muôn dân tụ hội trong niềm hoan hỷ và chuyên tâm phụng hành chân thật cùng chính pháp.”
भीष्म उवाच
Just governance and the restoration of rightful order after the defeat of disruptive forces lead society toward satya (truthfulness) and dharma (righteous conduct); collective well-being is shown as a natural outcome of dharmic sovereignty.
Bhīṣma recalls an earlier time: after the gods defeat the Daityas, Indra becomes ruler of the three worlds, and the people, rejoicing, assemble and commit themselves to living by truth and dharma.
