Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)

ततः प्रोवाच ब्रह्मा तं शक्रं बलनिषूदनम्‌ । अवज्ञातास्त्वया नित्यं गावो बलनिषूदन

tataḥ provāca brahmā taṃ śakraṃ balanīṣūdanam | avajñātās tvayā nityaṃ gāvo balanīṣūdana ||

Bấy giờ, Phạm Thiên (Brahmā) cất lời với Thích-ca (Indra), kẻ diệt Bala: “Hỡi bậc phá tan Bala! Ngươi đã luôn khinh suất đối với loài bò. Vì thế ngươi chẳng thật biết hết sự vĩ đại của chúng. Hỡi bậc tối thắng trong chư thiên, hãy lắng nghe khi ta giảng về uy lực lớn lao và oai nghiêm linh thánh của bò.”
