Chapter 84: Brahmā’s Counsel on Tāraka, the Search for Agni, and the Genesis of Skanda

सुरूपा बहुरूपाश्न विश्वरूपाश्व मातर: । प्राजापत्यमिति ब्रह्मन् जपेन्नित्यं यतव्रतः
surūpā bahurūpāś ca viśvarūpāś ca mātaraḥ | prājāpatyam iti brahman japennityaṃ yatavrataḥ ||
Vyāsa nói: “Hỡi Bà-la-môn, người giữ vững giới nguyện nên mỗi ngày tụng niệm những danh xưng của bò do Prajāpati ban: Surūpā, Bahurūpā, Viśvarūpā, và ‘Mātaraḥ’ (Các Bà Mẹ). Nhờ tôn kính và bố thí bò, con người đạt đến những cõi cao quý do Thần Mặt Trời hùng mạnh và Thần Gió quyền năng chủ trì, cùng những cõi mà phú quý nương tựa dưới Vua Varuṇa. Vì thế, lòng tôn kính đối với bò—thể hiện qua hiến tặng và tưởng niệm—trở thành con đường dharma dẫn đến công đức và vận mệnh cao thượng.”
