पवित्राणां पवित्र च यत् तद् ब्रूहि पितर्मम । एतच्छुत्वा तु वचन व्यास: परमधर्मवित् पुत्रायाकथयत् सर्व तत्त्वेन भरतर्षभ
pavitrāṇāṁ pavitraṁ ca yat tad brūhi pitar mama | etac chrutvā tu vacanaṁ vyāsaḥ paramadharmavit putrāyākathayat sarvaṁ tattvena bharatarṣabha ||
Bhīṣma thưa: “Thưa phụ thân, xin nói cho con biết điều thanh tịnh bậc nhất trong mọi pháp thanh tịnh. Xin thuật lại tất cả cho con.” Hỡi bậc tráng kiện của dòng Bharata, nghe lời con mình, Vyāsa—bậc thông đạt tối thượng pháp—đã giảng giải mọi điều một cách chân thực và đầy đủ.
