गुरुशुश्रूषया शूरा: पितृशुश्रूषयापरे | मातृशुश्रूषया शूरा भैक्ष्यशूरास्तथापरे
bhīṣma uvāca |
guruśuśrūṣayā śūrāḥ pitṛśuśrūṣayāpare |
mātṛśuśrūṣayā śūrā bhaiṣyaśūrās tathāpare ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Có người được gọi là anh hùng vì tận tụy phụng sự thầy; kẻ khác vì phụng sự cha. Có người bộc lộ dũng lực qua việc phụng dưỡng mẹ; và lại có người là ‘anh hùng’ trong đời sống khất thực. Bởi thế, anh hùng khí không chỉ ở chiến địa, mà còn hiện trong nếp sống kỷ luật, bổn phận và tự chế.”
