Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
यज्ञशूरा दमे शूरा: सत्यशूरास्तथापरे । युद्धशूरास्तथैवोक्ता दानशूराश्ष मानवा:
bhīṣma uvāca | yajñaśūrā dame śūrāḥ satyaśūrās tathāpare | yuddhaśūrās tathaivoktā dānaśūrāś ca mānavāḥ | (buddhiśūrās tathā cānye kṣamāśūrās tathā pare) |
Bhīṣma nói: “Trong loài người, có kẻ là anh hùng nơi tế lễ (yajña); có kẻ được gọi là anh hùng của tự chế, vì dũng mãnh trong việc điều phục các căn. Cũng vậy, có người được tôn xưng là anh hùng của chân thật, anh hùng nơi chiến trận, anh hùng của bố thí; và lại có người là anh hùng của trí tuệ, anh hùng của nhẫn nhục.”
