न मित्रधुडनैकृतिक: कृतघ्नः शठो<नृजुर्धर्मविद्वेषकश्न । न ब्रह्महा मनसापि प्रपश्येद् गवां लोकं पुण्यकृतां निवासम्
na mitradhruḍ anaitṛtikaḥ kṛtaghnaḥ śaṭho 'nṛjur dharmavidveṣakaś ca | na brahmahā manasāpi prapaśyed gavāṁ lokaṁ puṇyakṛtāṁ nivāsam ||
Bhīṣma nói: Kẻ phản bội bạn bè, sống không liêm chính, vô ơn, gian trá, quanh co, thù ghét dharma—dẫu là kẻ sát hại một brāhmaṇa—cũng không thể, dù chỉ trong ý nghĩ, thấy được cõi của loài bò (Goloka), nơi cư ngụ của những người đã tích lũy công đức.
