Phala of Vrata, Niyama, Svādhyāya, Dama, Satya, Brahmacarya, and Service (व्रत-नियम-स्वाध्याय-दम-सत्य-ब्रह्मचर्य-शुश्रूषा-फलप्रश्नः)
शुद्धों हार्थो नावमन्यस्व धर्मान् पात्रे देयं देशकालोपपन्ने । तस्माद् गावस्ते नित्यमेव प्रदेया मा भूच्च ते संशय: कश्चिदत्र
śuddho hy artho nāvamanyasva dharmān pātre deyaṃ deśa-kālopapanne | tasmād gāvas te nityam eva pradeyā mā bhūc ca te saṃśayaḥ kaścid atra ||
Naciketa nói: “Của cải, nếu được có và dùng đúng đạo, thì là thanh tịnh; vì thế chớ xem nhẹ những đòi hỏi của dharma. Khi gặp đúng nơi, đúng thời, hãy bố thí cho người xứng đáng. Bởi vậy, ngươi nên thường xuyên bố thí bò, không được lơ là. Về điều này, chớ để lòng còn nghi hoặc.”
