गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः

भीष्म उवाच असदृवृत्ताय पापाय लुब्धायानृतवादिने । हव्यकव्यव्यपेताय न देया गौ: कथंचन

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca asadṛvṛttāya pāpāya lubdhāyānṛtavādine | havyakavyavyapetāya na deyā gauḥ kathaṃcana ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: Tuyệt đối không được đem bò bố thí cho kẻ có hạnh kiểm bất chính—kẻ mang tội, tham lam, quen nói dối—cũng không được cho kẻ không còn lòng kính trọng đối với lễ phẩm cúng tế thiêng (havis) và nghi lễ tế tự tổ tiên (kavya).
