Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
गृहे यस्य वसेत् तुष्ट: प्रधानं लोकमश्रुते । अध्यापक-वंशमें उत्पन्न श्रोत्रिय एवं जितेन्द्रिय ब्राह्मण जिसके दिये हुए घरमें प्रसन्नतासे रहता है, उसे श्रेष्ठ लोक प्राप्त होते हैं
gṛhe yasya vaset tuṣṭaḥ pradhānaṃ lokam aśnute |
Bhīṣma nói: Nếu một brāhmaṇa học rộng, giữ kỷ luật—sinh trong dòng dõi thầy dạy (adhyāpaka-vaṃśa), là bậc śrotriya tinh thông Veda và tự chế—ở trong ngôi nhà do ai đó bố thí với lòng mãn nguyện, thì người bố thí ấy sẽ đạt đến những cõi tối thượng và thù thắng. Câu kệ đặt việc hiếu khách và nâng đỡ chân học làm hành vi dharma trực tiếp, đem lại phước báo vượt trội.
