Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
प्रदाय सुरलोकस्थ: पुण्यान्तेडपि न चाल्यते । जो सर्दी, गर्मी और हवाके वेगको सहन करनेयोग्य सजी-सजायी गृह-भूमि दान करता है, वह देवलोकमें निवास करता है। पुण्यका भोग समाप्त होनेपर भी वहाँसे हटाया नहीं जाता
pradāya suralokasthaḥ puṇyānte’pi na cālyate |
Bhīṣma nói: Người nào bố thí một nền nhà được chuẩn bị chu đáo—đủ sức chịu rét, chịu nóng và chống gió mạnh—sẽ được cư trú ở cõi chư thiên. Dẫu sự thọ hưởng phước đức ấy đã mãn, người ấy vẫn không bị xô rơi khỏi nơi đó. Lời dạy ca ngợi sự cho đi có suy xét, hướng đến an sinh: món quà thật sự che chở và nuôi dưỡng người khác sẽ đem lại quả báo tinh thần bền lâu.
