Transliteration

hṛtaṃ kṛpaṇa-vittaṃ hi rāṣṭraṃ hanti nṛpa-śriyam | dadyāc ca mahato bhogān kṣudhyaṃ praṇudet satām ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: “Quả thật, của cải cướp đoạt từ kẻ khốn cùng sẽ hủy hoại vương quốc và phú quý của nhà vua. Vì vậy, bậc quân vương chớ lấy tài sản của người nghèo; trái lại, hãy ban cho họ phương tiện hưởng dùng dồi dào và xua tan nỗi khổ đói khát khỏi những người hiền thiện.”
