Bhūmi-dānasya Māhātmya
The Pre-eminence of Land-Gift
अथवा मित्रसदन मैत्र॑ मित्रविवर्धनम् । कीर्तिसंजनन श्रेष्ठ तडागानां निवेशनम्
athavā mitra-sadanaṁ maitraṁ mitra-vivardhanam | kīrti-sañjananaṁ śreṣṭhaṁ taḍāgānāṁ niveśanam ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hoặc nữa, việc làm ao hồ, hồ chứa cũng như dựng một mái nhà cho bạn hữu: đó là ân huệ nuôi dưỡng tình bằng hữu, làm rộng thêm vòng bạn bè, và là một trong những phương tiện thù thắng nhất để gây dựng và lan truyền tiếng thơm.”
