Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)
अभिगम्य भृगो: पुत्र च्यवनं संशितव्रतम् । इदं प्रोवाच नृपते वाचा संतर्पयज्निव,राजन! वे कठोर व्रतका पालन करनेवाले भृगुपुत्र महर्षि च्यवनके पास जाकर उन्हें अपनी वाणीद्वारा तृप्त करते हुए-से बोले
abhigamya bhṛgoḥ putraṁ cyavanaṁ saṁśitavratam | idaṁ provāca nṛpate vācā saṁtarpayann iva ||
Bhishma nói: “Tâu đại vương, sau khi đến gần hiền thánh Cyavana, con của Bhrigu—một khổ hạnh giả kiên định trong những lời thệ nguyện nghiêm khắc—người ấy đã thốt ra những lời này, như thể làm vừa lòng bậc hiền triết bằng lời nói cung kính và êm dịu.”
