युधिछिर उवाच कथमस्य प्रयोक्तव्य: संस्कार: कस्य वा कथम्‌ । देया कन्या कथं चेति तन्मे ब्रूहि पितामह

Transliteration

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: katham asya prayoktavyaḥ saṃskāraḥ kasya vā katham | deyā kanyā kathaṃ ceti tan me brūhi pitāmaha ||

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira thưa: “Bạch Tổ phụ, xin người dạy cho con: các lễ saṃskāra (nghi thức trưởng thành) dành cho đứa trẻ này phải cử hành thế nào, và theo varṇa (đẳng cấp) của ai mà làm? Làm sao xác định được nó thực sự thuộc varṇa nào? Và phải gả cho nó theo cách nào, với thiếu nữ thuộc cộng đồng nào? Xin người giải rõ cho con.”
