विप्रवादा: सुबहव: श्रूयन्ते पुत्रकारिता: । अत्र नो मुहतां राजन् संशयं छेत्तुमहसि
vipravādāḥ subahavaḥ śrūyante putrakāritāḥ | atra no muhatāṃ rājan saṃśayaṃ chettum arhasi ||
Bhishma nói: “Trong hàng bậc học giả, người ta thường nghe nhiều ý kiến khác nhau về việc sinh được con trai. Trong việc này, tâu Đại vương, chúng tôi bối rối, không thể đi đến kết luận chắc chắn; vì thế xin Người hãy chém đứt mối nghi và định rõ điều ấy.”
