Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
स तीक3्षणविषदिग्धेन शरेणातिबलात् क्षतः । उत्सृज्य फलपत्राणि पादप: शोषमागत:
sa tīkṣṇaviṣadigdhena śareṇātibalāt kṣataḥ | utsṛjya phalapatrāṇi pādapaḥ śoṣam āgataḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: Cây ấy bị một mũi tên tẩm thứ độc sắc bén bắn trúng với sức mạnh lớn, nên bị thương nặng. Nó rũ bỏ quả và lá, rồi dần dần héo úa đến khô cằn—một hình ảnh về nguyên nhân độc hại ẩn kín lan từ bên trong và hủy hoại sự sống từ nội tạng ra ngoài.
