Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
एवमेव मनुष्येन्द्र भक्तिमन्तं समाश्रित: । सर्वार्थसिद्धि लभते शुकं प्राप्य यथा द्रुम:
evam eva manuṣyendra bhaktimantaṁ samāśritaḥ | sarvārthasiddhiṁ labhate śukaṁ prāpya yathā drumaḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Cũng vậy, hỡi bậc tối thượng trong loài người: ai nương tựa nơi người thật sự có lòng sùng tín thì đạt được sự thành tựu mọi mục đích—như cây kia, nhờ được ở gần con vẹt Śuka, đã trọn vẹn thành tựu mọi điều mong cầu. Cũng thế, nhờ dựa vào người có bhakti, con người có thể khiến các ước nguyện của mình thành công.”
