Putra-Bheda: Kṣetraja, Kṛtaka, Apasada, and Saṃskāra Determinations (पुत्रभेद-निर्णयः)
स्त्रिय: पुंसां परिददे मनुर्जिगमिषुर्दिवम् । अबला: स्वल्पकौपीना: सुहृद: सत्यजिष्णव:
striyaḥ puṁsāṁ paridadhe manur jigamiṣur divam | abalāḥ svalpakaupīnāḥ suhṛdaḥ satyajiṣṇavaḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Khi Manu sắp lên cõi trời, ngài giao phó phụ nữ cho sự chăm nom của đàn ông. Ngài tuyên rằng phụ nữ thân thể yếu mềm, sống giản dị, vốn có lòng thiện ý, và hướng về chân thật—mong chinh phục cõi của sự thật (tức chuyên tâm nơi chân lý). Vì thế, họ đáng được tôn kính. Đàn ông phải kính trọng và che chở phụ nữ, bởi phúc lợi của xã hội và sự thành tựu của dharma đều nương tựa nơi họ.”
