Devaśarmā–Vipula Dialogue on Ahorātra–Ṛtu as Moral Witnesses (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय ४३)

अन्न ते वर्तयिष्यामि इतिहासं पुरातनम्‌ । यथा रक्षा कृता पूर्व विपुलेन महात्मना

anna te vartayiṣyāmi itihāsaṃ purātanam | yathā rakṣā kṛtā pūrvaṃ vipulena mahātmanā ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Này hiền hữu, ta sẽ kể cho con một cổ sử—rằng thuở xưa, bậc đại hồn Vipula đã bảo hộ một người phụ nữ, chính là thê tử của thầy mình, như thế nào. Hãy lắng nghe cách sự bảo hộ ấy được thực hành cho đúng, như một tấm gương về dharma đang vận hành.”
