Brahmagītā: Praise of Brāhmaṇas and norms of honor
शरणागतं ये रक्षन्ति भूतग्रामं चतुर्विधम् | कि तस्य भरतश्रेष्ठ फलं भवति तत्त्वतः
śaraṇāgataṃ ye rakṣanti bhūtagrāmaṃ caturvidham | kiṃ tasya bharataśreṣṭha phalaṃ bhavati tattvataḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira thưa: “Hỡi bậc tối thượng trong dòng Bharata, xin cho biết quả báo chân thật của những người che chở kẻ đã đến nương tựa—bảo hộ bốn loài hữu tình: loài sinh từ trứng, sinh từ thai, sinh từ hơi ẩm, và sinh từ đất (cỏ cây).”
