Chapter 34
अहिंसानिरता ये च ये च सत्यव्रता नरा: । दान्ता: शमपराश्वैव तान् नमस्यामि केशव
ahiṁsā-niratā ye ca ye ca satya-vratā narāḥ | dāntāḥ śama-parāś caiva tān namasyāmi keśava
Nārada nói: “Hỡi Keśava, ta đảnh lễ những người chuyên tâm nơi ahimsa (bất bạo hại), đã thệ nguyện chân thật, tự chế ngự, và hoàn toàn dốc lòng vào śama—sự an tĩnh nội tâm.”
नारद उवाच
The verse praises and venerates those who embody dharma through non-violence (ahiṁsā), truthfulness (satya), disciplined vows (vrata), self-restraint (dānta), and inner tranquility (śama), presenting these as exemplary ethical ideals.
Nārada addresses Keśava (Kṛṣṇa) and offers reverence to a class of virtuous people, highlighting the qualities that merit honor within the dharma-centered discourse of the Anuśāsana Parva.
