Gaṅgā-māhātmya: Siddha–Śilavṛtti-saṃvāda and Gaṅgā-stava (गङ्गामाहात्म्यं—सिद्ध-शिलवृत्ति-संवादः)
यः प्रवृत्तां श्रुतिं सम्यक् शास्त्र वा मुनिभि: कृतम् । दूषयत्यनभिज्ञाय त॑ विद्याद् ब्रह्मघातिनम्
yaḥ pravṛttāṃ śrutiṃ samyak śāstraṃ vā munibhiḥ kṛtam | dūṣayaty anabhijñāya taṃ vidyād brahmaghātinam ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Kẻ nào, không có sự hiểu biết chân thật, lại phỉ báng Thánh khải Veda (śruti) vốn chỉ dạy nghi lễ và hành vi đúng đắn, hoặc chê bai các luận thư do các bậc hiền triết soạn—hãy xem kẻ ấy như người sát hại Brahman, phạm trọng tội thiêng liêng vì làm lung lay nền tảng của dharma.”
