अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence
जो ब्राह्मण ऊपर बताये हुए गुणोंसे युक्त होते हैं, उन्हें दिया हुआ दान महान् फल देनेवाला है। गुणवान् एवं सुयोग्य पात्रको दान देनेवाला दाता सहसख्रगुना फल पाता है ।।
prajñāśrutābhyāṁ vṛttena śīlena ca samanvitaḥ | tārayet kulaṁ sarvam eko 'pīha dvijarṣabhaḥ ||
Bhishma nói: Bố thí dâng lên một Bà-la-môn có đủ các đức hạnh đã nêu sẽ cho quả lớn; người bố thí cho một “bình chứa” xứng đáng và có đức sẽ được quả báo gấp ngàn lần. Hơn nữa, chỉ một Bà-la-môn ưu tú—đầy trí tuệ, học vấn kinh điển, hạnh kiểm ngay thẳng và phẩm chất tốt—nếu nhận lễ vật tại đây, cũng có thể cứu độ và nâng đỡ toàn bộ dòng tộc của người cho.
