Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktvā kurūn sarvān bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavas tadā | tṛṣṇīṁ babhūva kauravyaḥ sa muhūrtam arindama ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: Sau khi nói như vậy với toàn thể người Kuru, Bhīṣma, con của Śantanu, liền im lặng. Hỡi bậc hàng phục kẻ thù, vị Kaurava ấy nằm yên một lúc—sự lặng thinh ấy ghi dấu sức nặng của lời huấn dụ cuối cùng và vẻ trang nghiêm của giờ phút ra đi đang đến gần.
