संधानस्य पर: कालस्तवेति च पुन: पुनः । न च मे तद् वचो मूढ: कृतवान् स सुमन्दधी: । घातयित्वेह पृथिवीं ततः स निधनं गत:
sandhānasya paraḥ kālas taveti ca punaḥ punaḥ | na ca me tad vaco mūḍhaḥ kṛtavān sa sumandadhīḥ | ghātayitveha pṛthivīṃ tataḥ sa nidhanaṃ gataḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hết lần này đến lần khác ta bảo hắn: ‘Giờ là lúc thích hợp nhất để hòa giải.’ Nhưng kẻ mê muội, trí hèn ấy đã không làm theo lời ta. Sau khi khiến mặt đất này chìm trong tàn sát, cuối cùng hắn cũng đi đến diệt vong của chính mình.”
