Anuśāsana-parva 17

बीजाध्यक्षो बीजकर्ता अध्यात्मानुगतो बल: । इतिहास: सकल्पश्ष गौतमो5थ निशाकर:

bījādhyakṣo bījakartā adhyātmānugato balaḥ | itihāsaḥ sakalpaś ca gautamo 'tha niśākaraḥ ||

Vāyu nói: “Ngài là Đấng giám sát các ‘hạt giống’ (những nguyên lý nhân) và là Đấng tạo ra các hạt giống ấy; Ngài theo con đường tri kiến nội tâm và đầy uy lực. Ngài cũng là Itihāsa (thánh sử), cùng với Kalpa (nghi lễ và trật tự nghi quỹ); Ngài là Gautama (hiền triết của lý luận), và cũng là Niśākara—vầng Trăng.”
