Anuśāsana-parva 17
त्रिदशस्त्रिकालधृक् कर्मसर्वबन्धविमोचन: । बन्धनस्त्वसुरेन्द्राणां युधि शत्रुविनाशन:
tridaśas trikāladhṛk karmasarvabandhavimocanaḥ | bandhanas tv asurendrāṇāṁ yudhi śatruvināśanaḥ ||
Vāyu-deva nói: “Ngài là Đấng nâng giữ ba trạng thái của đời sống hữu thân—sinh, trụ và diệt; là Đấng mang lấy ba thời—quá khứ, hiện tại và vị lai; là bậc giải thoát, chém đứt mọi trói buộc do nghiệp tạo. Nhưng đối với các chúa tể A-tu-la, Ngài lại là Đấng trói buộc; và nơi chiến địa, Ngài là Đấng diệt thù. Cũng chính quyền năng ấy—giải người chính trực khỏi xiềng nghiệp—lại chế ngự kẻ kiêu mạn và quật ngã thế lực đối nghịch khi cần hộ trì dharma.”
