The One Supreme Being remains a single reality while freely manifesting as countless forms; multiplicity does not contradict unity, and devotion may approach Him through many appearances while recognizing the same underlying Lord.
Vāyu is speaking within the Anuśāsana Parva’s instructional discourse, emphasizing the immeasurable scope of the divine—able to appear as one, two, many, and innumerable forms—supporting a teaching on reverence and right understanding of the Supreme.
